Thursday night headbangers ball...

We took the girls to their first concert...and it wasn't Hannah Montana. It was a small affair with only a couple hundred people and at a local Christian church, but was headbangin' nonetheless. The opening bands were Two Days Til Tomorrow and Downcast Fable and the featured band was a popular Christian group called Fireflight. We quite often watch the Fireflight videos on TVU (kinda like Christian MTV) on our Skyangel cable programming. The girls loved it! We found out quite quickly that Nicole is a "front row" type of girl whereas Jenny was a bit more reserved and hung closer with us. They both got Fireflight concert T's that say UNBREAKABLE (meaning: with God I am unbreakable!), Fireflight posters, Two Days Til Tomorrow posters that the entire band signed for them and a Downcast Fable CD. It was a very fun and safe environment and the music and messages behind it couldn't be outdone! The girls are now plotting the return to their second concert...

This is a youtube video of Fireflight. It is not our concerts performance, but they wailed it just as hard. And just so you realize they are people just like us, Thursday night the guitarist on the left side of the screen stepped up on a speaker, it shot out from underneath him and he body planted on the ground. He was a good sport about it, hopped right back up and kept on playing :) So turn up your volumes, I wanna see your headbangin!
