Back on board...

I have neglected this blog for far too long. Things get busy, but that's no excuse! Many things have gone by that I have not updated on, girls swim meets, Halloween, Thanksgiving etc. Here is a quick run down of the last few months. Scott and I are still working hard as ever, Jen and Nic are doing great in school. The girls also swim on a team. I take them to practice several times a week after school and they have meets about once a month. They love it! We also had a great trip to Moab.

I worked Halloween. Jenny was the ultimate 80's girl with big haired side pony tail, big jewlery, leg warmers, and lots of neon. Nicole was Darth Vader again. Scott was a FANTASTIC hillbilly and they attempted to paint a white stripe down Chica's back so she would look like a skunk. It didn't really work. The girls went out with dad, Jenny's friend from the neighborhood and another friend of the girls came down from Prescott. They all had fun.

I worked Thanksgiving. Scott and the girls relaxed and watched movies. Scott had to finish up some things, working about half day on Friday, so we cooked and celebrated after he got home. It was quiet, low key and perfect!

I have flown to California a few times over the last few months helping my Grandma. She is 89, had surgery and is receiving chemo treatments. My Mom and Dad had a trip to China and placed Gram in a care home temporarily until they got back. My Aunt from Texas and I flew there and helped Gram during that time. Mom and Dad are now in California moving my Gram to Utah this weekend. She will be in an assisted living apartment very close to where Mom and Dad live. Gram's house is going on the market and they drove her around the 'hood' one last time before she leaves for good. Mom said she was pretty emotional as she has lived and worked her whole adult life in Compton, Lynwood and Cerritos. She was head lunch lady for the school district and loved her job. She has been widowed and independent since my Grandpa died in 1981. She is looking forward to not having the heavy burden of a large house and starting new in Utah.

This weekend is Jenny's 12th birthday! Check back soon for updates and pictures of that. It's good to be back!
