Meet Fluffy...

After Jenny's last appointment, Nicole wanted to go to Petco, which is a few doors down from the Orthodontist office and look around. We had purchased a few hamsters from there in the past and a very good friend of mine that fosters stray cats for a local cat shelter takes them there for adoption. As we look around there are really no hamsters that catch our eye, but an employee is working with a guinea pig. Nicole immediately falls in love! We look and touch and ask questions. "She is really cute" we say. Nicole begs and pleads. "She can be an early birthday present, and the only one I get! I lovvve herrrr mom!" She needs to ask her dad. She has 5 weeks to her birthday and to get him on board with having a guinea pig in the house. Nicole is worried that in 5 weeks, she will be sold. Fast forward to 5:00 pm that night. Dad is home. Nicole is nervous that dad will say no. She has to butter him up. "How was your day dad!" {insert big smile and fluttering eyelashes here}. (Note-Scott was forewarned that Nicole was going to ask him something very important). "Great" he says, "what's up?" Nicole lets loose, excitement in the words flying from her mouth telling about the guinea pig. Scott's only answer..."OK, go get her." Nicole about fell down. (I about fell down, I was expecting 5 weeks to get used to the idea of having a guinea pig), so we went and got her...and the cage...and the special food...and the special bedding...and the toys...

She is precious and sweet and gentle. Best of all, she is Nicole's.
So everyone...meet Fluffy!
