So we let the girls dress up this Halloween. It was the first Halloween I didn't have to work in 3 years. My friend Stefanie and her family (husband Shane and kids Ava and Aidan) came down from Prescott. They used to live here, near us, and Ava is Jenny's age and was Jenny's best friend. I made a really good dinner of cream of potato soup with bacon and shredded cheese, french bread, finger foods (baby dill pickles, olives and cheese & crackers), sliced apples with caramel and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. We then walked the neighborhood a bit with the kids so they could get some candy. We weren't out long, but it was fun. Afterwards the adults talked and caught up while the kids played wii. (Stefanie is planning on entering the nursing program in Prescott next year). Ava slept over so all three girls were in one room. They stayed up late (12:30) talking and woke up again at 4:00 to talk some more and play their gameboys. It was good to see Stef. Although I talk to her a lot on the phone, I didn't realize how much I missed her not being here until she was actually here. Jenny was a Pirate, Nicole a "hurt person", Ava was Cleopatra and Aidan was Dracula.
