How was your 4th of July?

We had a great weekend. The girls are still at grandma and grandpas. They will be back on July 13th. Scott worked Friday the 3rd. Saturday the 4th, we got up early and cleared the garage in preparation for painting. We painted the walls a light grey and added a cobalt blue racing stripe all the way around. It looks great! We still need to paint the concrete floor (a darker grey with black, blue and white flecks.) It should look neat when it's done. About 3pm we went to a local running shop to pick up OUR triathalon packets. Yes, I said OUR! I did my first triathalon on Sunday the 5th! We went to bed early (didn't watch fireworks) so we could be up, on location with bikes racked at 5:30am. Sunday we did the triathalon. It was sooo much fun. I was super nervous, but after it was done it wasn't such the big deal that I made it out to be. I didn't do great, didn't drown and I did finish. Hey, you gotta start somewhere. I now have a time that I can work towards beating next time. Yes, there will be a next time. It was great fun. We have great friends that we do them with and I can't wait to do one again.
